Vision: A great culture starts with a vision. Our vision is simple, “To increase our market share through innovating and adapting to the current and evolving needs of our clients and employees.” We know that our ability to enjoy sustainable growth depends on our ability to find the right solutions for our clients – and to do that we need to provide the right solutions for our employees.
Values: A company’s values are the core of its culture. While a vision articulates a company’s purpose, values offer a set of guidelines on the behaviors and mindsets needed to achieve that vision. That is why to support our team members we regularly review our policies, benefits, trainings and resources. We take the time to speak with teams and individuals about what they need to be their best. We believe in supporting people’s needs both in and out of work so that everyone enjoys total wellness.
Practices: Of course, values are of little importance unless they are enshrined in a company’s practices. If an organization professes, “people are our greatest asset,” it should also be ready to invest in people in visible ways. PHS supports our employees and contractors with valuable practices such as payment for annual professional licensing expenses, providing financial wellness tools, team and skill building workshops, and healthy living programs in addition to our standard fringe benefits.
People: No company can build a coherent culture without people who either share its core values or possess the willingness and ability to embrace those values. PHS is fanatical about recruiting new employees who are not just the most talented but also the best suited to a particular position and our culture. We take the time to get to know each candidate to ensure its a good fit for everyone involved. Our goal to attract and retain the right people makes the our promise to support them easy-peasy! Narrative:Any organization has a unique history — a unique story. And the ability to unearth that history and craft it into a narrative is a core element of culture creation. The elements of PHS are both formal and informal. As a Tribally owned firm, we are deeply engaged in providing products, services and benefits that support minorities and disadvantaged populations. Informally, our companies leadership has been involved in military services and support through many modalities – and that guides our daily operations through the drive for excellence and providing solutions for current and former service members as well as their families.
Place: Place and environment shape culture. Place — whether geography, architecture, or aesthetic design — impacts the values and behaviors of people in a workplace. The “place” of today is very different from the “places” of yesterday, many of us work in modular type environnement – where teams are spread across the country while collaborating. This is why innovation and adaptation is paramount to creating a successful culture for our team members.
